Suzuki e Vitara

Suzuki e Vitara

The Suzuki e Vitara marks the first global battery electric vehicle for the Japanese brand. Revealed in late 2024, this small SUV is scheduled for an Australian arrival in mid-2026. It utilises the newly developed Heartect-e platform, which was co-developed with Toyota and Daihatsu to maximize interior space and accommodate a dedicated electric drivetrain.

The local 2026 Suzuki e Vitara line-up will feature two main variants. The entry-level Motion uses a front-wheel-drive motor and a 49kWh battery, while the flagship Ultra gains a larger 61kWh battery and the Allgrip-e all-wheel-drive system. This dual-motor setup provides extra traction on loose surfaces, staying true to the heritage of the Vitara nameplate while transitioning to zero-emission power.

While known as the Suzuki e Vitara in most global markets, the model is manufactured in India and may carry the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara name in that region. It joins the traditional combustion-engine Vitara as the brand's primary small SUV offering in Australia. This shift signals a new era for Suzuki as it updates its local showroom with electrified technology.
