Starting its life in 2009 as a people mover, the Peugeot 5008 morphed into a seven-seat mid-size SUV for its second-generation starting in 2017.
It is the largest SUV in the Peugeot line-up, sitting above the five-seat 3008.
It competes with the Renault Koleos, Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.
The line-up currently starts at $55,990 for the 5008 Allure Hybrid and ranges through to $67,990 for the range-topping 5008 Gt Premium Hybrid.
The 5008 is available in six colours - 'Obsession Blue', 'Nera Black', 'Okenite White', 'Artense Grey', 'Titanium Grey' and 'Ingaro Blue'. Ingaro Blue is the only free paint, all others incur additional costs.
Our advice is that you should drive on the ‘goo’ as little as possible and to get the tyre repaired as soon as you can. From that you could feel confident about driving more than 3 km, but you should be driving straight to the nearest tyre shop to get the puncture repaired. We can confirm it does have tyre pressure monitoring.

The interior of the 5008 is well-considered with close attention to details. The multi-leveled dashboard and centre-console design creates many areas of interest, as does the ambient lighting. The dashboard is headlined by a 21-inch curved display and finished in a mix of black leather and grey knit fabric. It exudes a premium atmosphere.
The boot space of the 5008 is fairly practical with 348L of capacity when all rows are in use. This jumps up to 916L when the third row is folded but it can go up to 2232L when all rear rows are folded flat.
The 5008 is offered with seven-seats in a 2/3/2 configuration. The base grade gets fabric trim with leather effect and the flagship grade enjoys Nappa leather upholstery.
Front seats feature manual adjustments until you jump into the flagship grade. The middle row has a 40/20/40 manual folding and tilting backrest, 60/40 manual sliding base. The third row has 50/50 split-folding backrest.
Standard accessories include keyless entry and start, proximity locking & unlocking, three-zone climate control, a cargo cover, 360-degree camera system, front/rear parking sensors, six airbags, satellite navigation, a wireless charging pad, four USB-C ports, two 12-volt sockets, AM/FM and digital radio, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, over-the-air updates, ChatGPT AI voice assistant, ambient lighting, leather steering wheel, 19-inch alloy wheels, tyre repair kit, LED dusk-sensing headlights and rain-sensing wipers.

With a combined fuel-cyle usage of 5.1L/100km and a 55L fuel tank, theoretical driving range is up to 1078km.
