2010 Mitsubishi Challenger XLS review - Long-term owner

Multimedia and safety technology: 4/10

Even in a car from 2010 you expect a Bluetooth head unit, but not in this car, unless you choose an aftermarket system. No active safety features.

Practicality: 10/10

As an everday drive car that can still be used in the bush, it is fantastic. The wife loves driving it as it doesn't feel like a typical 4x4.

Driving: 8/10

Despite the engine being loud, it doesn't feel like an outdated and agricultural vehicle. It feels like a slightly larger and louder Outlander. It does, however, have body roll going into corners as expected with a big 4x4.

Running costs: 5/10

This big girl is thirsty on fuel and can easily use over 10L/100km. Servicing is very standard and doesn't require any expensive precautions. You do, however, need to be up to date with servicing with this engine.

Reliability: 6/10

Sadly as I was not smart with servicing, the engine did go bang, so I cant' speak super highly of it, but everything is going strong.
