Carlex Design transforms X-Class into a six-wheeled monster

By Mitchell TulkMitchell Tulk
Imagine the price tag of this thing!

Carlex Design is a Polish company that specialises in taking over-the-top cars and making them even more ludicrous.

Its newest project is a six-wheel version of the Mercedes X-Class, finished in carbon-fibre.

Named EXY Monster X, Clarlex has extended the wheelbase and added a third axle, while also fitting fender flares, carbon-ceramic brakes, massive Bridgestone tyres and an X-shaped tailgate.

This concept has been designed as a safety car, which explains the inclusion of roof-mounted emergency lights plus a front and rear winch.

  • TOUGH. TOUGH.
  • Possibly the same length as a yacht. Possibly the same length as a yacht.
  • We feel an X-shaped tailgate might not be practical... We feel an X-shaped tailgate might not be practical...
  • Black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow. Black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow.

There’s no word on the powerplant, but expect a tweaked version of the turbo-diesel V6 or hopefully a twin-turbo V8.

The interior design is yet to be seen, however, judging by previous creations, it’ll be striking.

It’s only a concept at the moment, but no doubt cashed-up clientele are already lining up for their own Monster X.

Would you take this over a six-wheel G Class? Let us know in the comments.
