MOST modern cars have similar mirrors and carry a warning advising that cars will appear further away than they really are. They are meant to give a comprehensive view of what's happening behind you but you have to adjust them. Until you make that adjustment you need to be very careful and look around as well as using the mirrors.

THIS is one of those situations that calls into question what is reasonable use. My guess is Nissan is saying your use falls outside what is reasonable, but I would think that it is quite reasonable for you to take your car on to corrugated roads and not have it fall apart. Keep the pressure on.

Nissan Patrol 2006: Rebuilt engine blows smoke

Did they hone the bores in the rebuild? If they didn't, or even if they did, I would be suspicious that the rings are not properly seated on the bores and the smoke is blow-by. The problem could also be because you didn't run it in properly after the rebuild and the bores have glazed.
