Designed to target the US market, the Mercedes-Benz's flaghsip full-size luxury SUV was introduced back in 2006.

It remains one of the benchmark luxury SUVs in the US, while enjoying sales success in foreign markets, including our own, thanks to its goodlooking design, a luxurious interior and a smooth-running line of V6 engines.

There's a V8 option for the GLS63 AMG or the GLS 600 Maybach, too.

The line-up currently starts at $138,710 for the GLS-Class GLS 450 4Matic (hybrid) and ranges through to $166,760 for the range-topping GLS-Class GLS 400D 4Matic.
