Returning as the king of the Giulia line-up is the Quadrifoglio, built to take on the likes of the BMW M3, Mercedes-AMG C63 and Audi RS5 Sportback.
To go toe-to-toe with Germany’s best, Alfa Romeo has fitted a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine to the Quadrifoglio, producing 375kW/600Nm.
With drive fed to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission, the top-spec Giulia will blitz the 0-100km/h run in just 3.9 seconds, while its perfect 50/50 weight balance also means it can handle itself when the road gets twisty.
In addition to the three drive modes standard on all Giulias, the Quadrifoglio gains a ‘Race’ mode to put it into maximum attack at a circuit.
Inside, the cabin scores a mix of aluminium, carbon-fibre, leather and Alcantara across the dashboard and trim, while a premium sound system is also included as standard.
Outside, you can tell a Quadrifoglio apart from its siblings thanks to quad exhaust tips, larger brakes, and carbon-fibre bonnet, roof, side skirts and rear spoiler.
Pricing for the 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has actually dropped $6950 to $138,950 before on-road costs.
