This model utilizes the LEAP 3.5 architecture and features a rear-mounted 160kW electric motor. In its home market of China, the vehicle is known as the Leapmotor Lafa 5. The international B05 designation aligns it with the B10 small SUV. It offers 50:50 weight distribution and multi-link rear suspension to improve handling and ride quality.

Major updates for the range arrived quickly with the reveal of the B05 Ultra at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. This performance variant increases power to 180kW and drops the sprint to 100km/h to under six seconds. Standard models offer two battery sizes with ranges between 361km and 434km, while higher grades include a 14.6-inch touchscreen and 800V charging capability.
