The line-up currently starts at $47,600 for the Ev3 Air 2Wd Sr and ranges through to $63,950 for the range-topping Ev3 Gt-Line 2Wd Lr.

The EV3's cabin is quite spacious for a small SUV, with plenty of light and clever packaging that makes good use of space thanks to a low, flat EV platform.

Colours for the Australian market aren't confirmed yet, but expect plenty of white, black and greyscale options for the small SUV, as well as perhaps a brighter hero colour and some muted colour tones.

The Kia EV3 has a strong features list, with electrically adjustable seats, V2L functionality, ambient lighting, and a 30-inch display unit consisting of three screens standard.

Depending on specification, the EV3 also comes with synthetic leather heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats, plus a sunroof, head-up display and contrast interior trim.

So far, only a front-drive, single motor variant of the EV3 is confirmed with 150kW/283Nm outputs.

Kia says the standard variant EV3 with a front-wheel drive single motor can hit 100km/h in 7.5 seconds before going on to a top speed of 170km/h.

Kia Ev3 Range

Kia says the EV3's maximum driving range under WLTP testing should be about 600km for the long-range 81.4kWh battery version, but its standard range 58.3kWh battery doesn’t yet have a confirmed claim.
