The Ford Ranger is best in the class and just coming up for a facelift and general update and the Isuzu D-Max, which is not as refined for on-road work, gets big ticks for heavy towing.
So that's another vote for the Isuzu.
I rate the Colorado ahead of the Isuzu but, if you can make do with something that will tow 2500kg rather than 3000kg, also look at a Hyundai Santa Fe as I give it The Tick.
Fading is not unusual with the paint used on cars today, but to see fading in just three years would suggest something is wrong. If you want to take it further you should get an independent opinion from a paint expert, and if that opinion is that there is something wrong with the paint you could then take it to Isuzu and ask for the affected areas to be repainted. Modern four-cylinder turbo engines, particularly diesels, are far more powerful and efficient than old-school sixes. We've had excellent reports on the towing ability of the MU-X but you would be best to judge how hard your Territory was working.
The MU-X is not as refined as a LandCruiser but is a lot cheaper and is a solid, sensible workhorse. It should be fine for towing and travelling.
It's OK but the Ford Ranger and Mazda BT-50 are better. The Mazda gets The Tick based on lower prices for better value.
You will definitely enjoy a new car and the Prado gets The Tick but, really, the Isuzu will be cheaper and almost as good for your towing needs.
The MU-X is rated to tow 3000 kg, which is well above the 2100 kg you say your caravan weighs. On that basis it would seem to be well suited to your towing needs.
