Honda City 2015
Carsguide Alistair Kennedy had this to say at the time: Performance takes a back seat in the new Honda City at the expense of low emissions and fuel use. It has an impressive list of standard features, many of which are rare in a car of this class. Add a trendy look, the integration of smart phone technology and the spacious interior and its likely to attract the 30 to 40 year old demographic that Honda is targeting for this slicker City. You can read the full review here.
This is what Alistair Kennedy liked most about this particular version of the Honda City: Fuel efficiency, Well equipped, Spacious interior

Holden Astra 2017: Is it more reliable than a Honda City?
You’re pretty safe with either car in terms of reliability, but resale would favour the Honda.
Best first small car under $13k
We recently reviewed the Honda City as used car buy. To summarise the City has 5-star safety, which means it has all of the safety features you want, it also has the features your daughter wants. Best of all owners are unanimous in their praise for the car. The price is on the high side, but being a drive-away deal you save on government charges, which makes it a pretty good buy.
Noisy and harsh City CVT
Don't blame Honda, as most Japanese carmakers now have constantly-variable transmissions as their solution to balancing performance with fuel economy and emissions. Yours sounds particularly bad, but they're not good — in my experience — in most conditions and are subject to all sorts of vagaries in city running and hilly conditions.
Honda City 'pinging' under load
You don't say what fuel you have been running it on, but if you've been using regular unleaded try a higher octane rating fuel, such as 95 PULP or even higher 98 and see if the pinging goes away. You can have your car serviced by any qualified mechanic without affecting the warranty, as long as it is done according to Honda's recommendation.
