A V8 American muscle car icon turned EV. Doesn’t have a great ring to it, does it?
Stellantis-owned Dodge canned the mighty powerful Charger in 2023 as it didn’t fit in with the brand’s plans for electrification. It has since backflipped on that, and the Charger has returned as a hyper-powered EV.
The power thing fits, but convincing Charger purists to swap gasoline for electricity will no doubt be a challenge.
The base curb weight of a 2023 Dodge Charger is 3841lbs, or approximately 1742kg.

Dodge's owner Stellantis Group made the decision to discontinue the Charger and Challenger models as they didn't fit with the company's plans for electrification. Dodge intends to introduced a new line of electric muscle cars they hope will keep the essence of the iconic Charger and Challenger models alive.
