The eighth-generation five-seat, four-door Toyota Camry SL was launched in November 2017.

The front-wheel drive sedan is available with a 2.5-litre petrol engine, 2.5-litre petrol/electric hybrid or a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine. The 2.5-litre petrol has a six-speed auto, the hybrid a one-speed transaxle and the V6 uses an eight-speed auto.

The Camry SL starts at $39,990 before on road costs for the 2.5-litre, $40,990 for the hybrid and $43,990 in V6 form.

It sits at the top of the price list above the Ascent, Ascent Sport and the LX, which all feature the 2.5-litre petrol, V6 and and petrol/electric hybrid drivetrains in various combinations.

The SL range features 18-inch alloys, sports suspension, electric parking brake, 10-inch head-up display, opening panoramic roof, high-grade LED front and rear lights, auto emergency braking (AEB) and lane departure warning as standard.
