The new brakes - developed in Australia by Toyota and a local supplier - have improved performance and pedal feel. Stopping distances have also been reduced compared with the previous Camry model.
Sportivo's breakthrough multi-reflector headlamps have increased low-beam width and increased penetration and width on high beam.
Local engineers have worked their magic inside Sportivo too, developing unique sports seats. Once again, Australia's Camry leads the world.
The new front seats offer better grip, support and comfort.
Moreover, the seats have a higher hip point, meaning you have better vision.
The 60/40 split/fold rear seat has been redesigned too, to provide theatre-style seating so rear-seat passengers have a better view as well as sitting more comfortably.
Throughout the new Camry, there are examples of design and technology providing function as well as form.
Sportivo's smooth, aerodynamic body means great looks, but also less wind noise.
A new, stronger body means the Camry's unique rubber-mounted subframes and highly sophisticated chassis-tuning on local roads combine to make the new car quieter inside.
Interior space and boot space have been significantly increased, without making the car noticeably larger on the outside.
Rear legroom has been raised by a huge 98mm. Front and rear shoulder room and headroom have all been boosted. And for those big trips, boot capacity has been increased to a cavernous 567 litres.
