Mazda BT-50 2011: Unexpected engine shutdowns

When I accelerate fast in my 2011 Mazda BT-50 and my rpm comes above roughly 3000, my engine failure signal goes on, and my engine shuts off instantly. What can it be?

It’s possibly a faulty sensor sending the wrong signal to the ECM. Have it checked by your dealer or mechanic.
