Mazda BT-50: Is it a good towing machine?

I'm about to upgrade from a Mazda Bravo 2.5 diesel 4x4 to a Mazda BT-50 4x4 and would like to know what they're like towing. Some owners say they're brilliant towing boats, but I need to tow a caravan or camper trailer off-road and some people say they aren't really adequate for this type of work. Can you give me any advice?

Underneath the BT-50 is virtually the same as the Bravo it replaced, so you should be familiar with its capability on and off-road. The diesel engines are new to the BT-50 and more powerful than the Bravos, the manual gearbox was beefed up to handle the increase in torque, and it will tow 2.5 tonnes. I would think it's fine for what you want.
