Territory automatic windows broken

Two automatic windows on my 2011 Ford Territory are not operating correctly and need replacement motors. My mechanic called our local dealer for parts and said they had a back order of eight. It makes me think this could be a common problem. Are you aware of this? Being a five-year-old car should they last longer than that and could I push Ford to cover costs?

It has cropped up before. It would be nice if they lasted longer, but I reckon you’d be wasting your time trying to get Ford to cover the costs.
