Ranger cruise control issues

I am continually having issues with the cruise control on my 2015 Ford Ranger MkII. Today is the fourth or fifth time

Ford has had it in their workshop. They have replaced the switches on the steering wheel, but it continues to do the same thing, to the point that I no longer use it, as it's too unreliable. Do you know if this is a common thing, or is it just my car?
