PT Cruiser misfires

Asked by Garth Byrne

I have a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser which has developed an annoying miss that can occur at anytime, whether it's idling or accelerating. I can't detect if it is spark or fuel. Can you help?

I'd be looking at spark, that's more often the cause of misfires. If the plugs and leads are in good order, I would be looking at engine sensors, their connections and the wiring.
