Prado warning light

I read with interest Peter Shanahan's comments on the problems he was having with the temperature warning light coming on in his Toyota HiLux, because it appears Toyota has a similar problem with its new Prado auto as well. My brother's car, which has no bull bar or other 'heavy' equipment that Toyota says could contribute to the problem, has had this problem on a number of occasions. He has been told that there is a fix that involves remapping of the auto, which from what I gather then lets the auto change up earlier rather than it hold the gears longer. I would assume that this would also be able to be done on the HiLux.
