Holden Commodore: Auto transmission problem

WHEN talking to a mechanic at a Holden dealership I discovered Holden does have a fix for the auto transmission problem I have complained about on my VE. The letter to dealers reads: ``Customers may experience a delay in acceleration or lack of performance from the automatic transmission when exiting a corner. This may also be described by the customer as a flat spot or delayed shift and? generally will be reported at approximately 30-40km/h. This condition only affects MY8.5 and MY09 V8 with six-speed automatic transmissions''. The mechanic also told me a transmission control module program is available that might fix it, and I am chasing that now. Also, in relation to the clunky transmission, Holden has changed the recommended oil.

INTERESTING reading. The VE V8 ute I am driving has the problem. It's evident at about 30km/h, but is also there when taking off from the lights. There's no clunking in the driveline; its a deep slump in acceleration and then a surge.
