Holden Captiva 2006: Transmission problems

Asked by Ros

The 2006 Holden Captiva LX petrol we bought for our daughter has a transmission problem. Is there a history of these cars having transmission issues, and if so, do we have any recourse to get it fixed under warranty?

The automatic transmission has been a problem for Captiva owners, but you’re unlikely to get much sympathy from Holden on a car that is now 11 years old. How’s to say what might've happened to the transmission in the past 11 years.
