Excuse wears a bit thin

AT THE recent 45,000km service on my VE Commodore SV6 I was told the rear tyres were unroadworthy, yet the front tyres had 70 per cent wear left on them. No explanation was given. I couldn't believe the news, so I checked with a tyre dealer. I was told it was because my car was a rear-wheel drive. That's an amazing response, so I left the tyre dealer vowing never to return. I would love to hear from Holden about this issue.

I STRONGLY urge you to contact Holden Customer Assistance and register your concerns about tyre wear. Ask them for a recommendation on how to improve the life of your tyres.
