Our 2010 Holden Cruze auto would not reverse this morning and does not like going beyond first in forward gears. It was towed to garage and we were told it needs a transmission for $5600. It has only done 66,000 km and had a new transmission at 6000 km. Is it normal for a car of this age to need its transmission to be frequently replaced?
No, it's not normal, but the Cruze has a problem with the automatic transmission and you are not alone. Take the car to a Holden dealer and have them assess it for you. If it does need a new transmission ask Holden to do it at its expense.
