Produced between 1966 to 1977, the BMW 2002 was introduced as a smaller, more affordable two-door version of its four-door New Class executive sedan.
It was a faster, lighter and even better-handling version of its predecessor, making it a perfect competitor for BMW’s motorsport team in Europe, where it was first introduced in 1968.
While it was particularly successful on the car racing circuit, winning only two races out of 600 events, the 2002 lives on as one of the vehicles that put credited BMW as a maker of practical yet fast cars. Not to mention it is one of the best-looking BMWs ever produced.
The line-up currently starts at $3,850 for the 2002 (base) and ranges through to $5,500 for the range-topping 2002 (base).

IT'S difficult to put a value on the car without seeing it, but your description of the condition as reasonable and the lack of a roadworthy check doesn't fill me with confidence. Values range from $1500 for a basket case to $6500 for a show car, so I reckon your car might be somewhere in the middle, about $3000.
