Tiguan manufacturing issue
That Tiguan is getting old and a customer complaint is not unusual for Volkswagen. If he wants the best car then, it's the CX-5 but the Hyundai ix35 and Kia Sportage also get The Tick and are the value champions.Show more
Expensive parts needed for Tiguan
It's always frustrating when you find yourself shelling out large sums of money on a car that you would think should be be bulletproof for the first period of it life. It's not like your car has done a million miles. I'm tempted to say that's the European experience. I would recommend that you find a good independent mechanic who specializes in VWs and take your car there.Show more
Jammed accelerator on 2008 VW Tiguan
It won’t have jammed as such; it’s got an electronic throttle. It’s more likely to be an electronic issue, perhaps at the pedal. If you can, have it checked by a mechanic experienced in VWs, or perhaps an independent engineer.Show more
