Read the article
By Marcus Craft · 15 Jun 2024

Then the next question potential buyers have to ask themselves is: should I opt for the 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine or the more expensive 3.0-litre V6?

GWM Cannon Alpha Hybrid 2024 review

By Byron Mathioudakis · 28 May 2024
GWM is going for the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux jugular with the Cannon Alpha, a larger, roomier and highly specified mid-sized dual-cab ute with an ace up its sleeve besides sharp pricing: a petrol-electric hybrid option. This is a proper hybrid choice, in lieu of the standard 2.4-litre turbo-diesel. But while equipment and safety boxes have all been ticked, problems do arise on the move.
Ram 1500 2024 review: Big Horn

By Byron Mathioudakis · 24 May 2024
The Ram DT 1500 is one of the world's greatest utes. From the considered design and sophisticated engineering to its comfy and user-friendly cabin, we're frankly hooked. The Australian-remanufactured right-hand drive conversion is first class. And the big Hemi V8 shines. But the base Big Horn that's under $20K less than our favoured Laramie grade is just too compromised in the name of price.

Read the article
By Marcus Craft · 05 May 2024
The V8 Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series is so popular the mind boggles. This is a purpose-built ute to the extreme. It's big and brash, noisy and not so nice - and in a molly-coddled, too-easy-to-be-triggered world, the 79 remains truly refreshing. But now that it's had a modern-ish update - replete with a 2.8L four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and six-speed auto - is this the end for the beloved V8?

Tesla Cybertruck 2025 review
Read the article
By Stephen Corby · 28 Apr 2024
Tesla's Cybertruck is a divisive vehicle, seen by some as the greatest example of why Tesla is a unique and admirable car company, because it goes where other fear, or wouldn't' even think, to tread. And it is a hell of a piece of engineering. Otherwise would argue, quite fairly, that it's a blot on the landscape and the stupidest thing ever to wear wheels. Let's find out.
