The GT grade sits below the top-of-the-range Astina in the Mazda3 line-up with its list price of $33,490 for car with the manual gearbox and $34,490 for the automatic transmission.

The Touring sits in the middle of the Mazda3 line-up with its list price of $28,990 if you’re after one with a manual gearbox or $29,990 for the automatic transmission.

The Pure is the entry grade into the Mazda3 range with its list price of $24,990 for the manual gearbox and $25,990 for the automatic transmission.

The Evolve grade in the Mazda3 range can be had with a choice of two engines – the G20 from $26,690 or G25 from $29,490. Those are the prices for cars with a manual gearbox, but just add $1000 for the automatic transmission.

The G25 is the high-spec engine variant in the Mazda3 line-up and is available on the Evolve grade, the GT grade and top-of-the-range Astina grade.

I went away this weekend a few hours drive out of Sydney, which meant I could see how it handled the open road. Here’s how it performed over seven days with my family.
