As with the previous generation model, Chevrolet has saved the ZR1 badge for nastiest version of the Corvette it has ever built.
In fact, the 755hp 6.2-litre supercharged monster is the most powerful, fastest car ever built by any company under the General Motors umbrella!
Due to be launched in 2019, the ZR1 has a huge 6.2-litre V8 coded 'LT5' topped by a gigantic 2.6-litre supercharger, with four separate fluid-coolers packed into that rakish nose. You’ll notice the wild aero kit, particularly that mahoosive optional rear wing, while there is also magnetic ride control suspension similar to that found in local HSV models.
No firm price has been announced, but the left-hand drive model will likely cost US$120,000, will do 0-100km/h in under 3.0-seconds, run the quarter-mile in under 11 seconds, and top out well over 320km/h.
