Hosted by Cursed Sundays Drift Club, Bring The Bash 2 is a grass roots style drift event that welcomes drifters to attend from across the country.

If you haven’t been to Japan, this is as close as it gets here in Australia.

Held at Awesome Drive Go Kart track in Wollongong it makes for an amazing atmosphere for not just the spectators, but also the drivers. The tight and technical circuit makes for some impressive drift trains!

The track is meant for go-karts, but that makes the action more tense.

A few big names were in attendance, such as Beau Yates in his 2JZ powered GT86 and Jake ‘DriftSquid’ Jones’ RB28 powered E92 M3. Unfortunately Jake’s M3 had issues early in the day and didn’t see much track time.

All the action wasn’t just on the track. Walking through the pits was like a car show. The quality of cars was unreal. This 1JZ 180sx is a perfect example. Not your typical drift car by any means.

‘Bring The Bash’ did live up to its name and some cars didn’t look so good by the end of the day.

No shortage of 'Bash' as the title suggests.

A few complaints from the local authorities made the event wrap up a little earlier then planned which was disappointing.

Overall it was an amazing day full of rad cars and wonderful people. The drifting community is continuously growing and hopefully we will see more events like this around Australia in the near future.

We hope to see more events like this in the future.
