The All-Japanese Car and Bike show hosts Canberra's slickest metal

By Corey MitchellCorey Mitchell

It's that time of year again - Japanese car and bike enthusiasts from Canberra and the surrounding regions get together for an annual mega-meet.

This is the third All Japanese Car and Bike Show and if you are a die-hard Japanese car enthusiast like myself, this event is for you.

Drift cars, stance cars, high power builds and everything Japanese-flavoured in between were on show at Thoroughbred Park.

Highlights included this immaculate MA61 Supra. (The owner representing OS with his new hat in the windshield!)

This Evo 9 was also a stand-out car, with it’s uhhh.. Not so subtle turbo and screamer install.  It produces a massive 600+KW at 50psi. Not bad for a ‘street car’.

There were also some impressive engine swaps on show, including this RB26 Nissan Stagea...

...and wild a 1UZ powered (Toyota V8) E30 BMW.

Unfortunately, this years turnout was not as big as the previous event, we suspect race day for Bathurst 1000 and the cloudy weather played a role in the numbers not being as strong.

Regardless, Mr Che Davey held an awesome event and we can’t wait to return next year!
