We all love pets. Especially clever and/or adorable pets like Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund, star of the video above.

Hell, Crusoe has his own YouTube channel with over 95,000 subscribers. That's a lot of love.

So why am I bringing up pets? Well, one of the best parts about writing for a car blog, while not being a big car person, is that I get to write about weird stuff, like ghost cars, fighting robots and cheesy educational films from the '50s.

So long as there's a car theme running through it, it's all relevant.

Keeping that in mind, LET'S WATCH SOME VIDEOS OF CUTE ANIMALS DOING CUTE STUFF! IT'S TECHNICALLY CAR RELATED, SO IT COUNTS!

You might have seen a video popping up a few weeks ago of a French bulldog puppy doing an impression of a Formula 1 car.

If not, well you can watch it right here right now:

It's cute, right? Well, as it turns out, dogs can be pretty great car impressionists. Like Kevin here:

Or this boof, complete with dump valve:

Or this one:

Or this diesel pug (a dog not a Peugeot):

But dogs aren't the only impressionists out there...

Like this grey parrot?

Or this one:

Ok, so parrots are natural impressionists.

But how about this kitty?

Ok, so that one's cheating a bit. Or that cat is super talented.

There's also a trend of adding car sounds to animals:

To the point where there are full compilation videos of them:

And that's to say nothing of dogs driving cars...

Actually, come to think of it, I'll probably save that one for another list.

Ok, maybe just one to tide us over:

Honourable mention:

Ok, so this one isn't car related, it's just precious:

What adorable animal video gets you all warm and fuzzy? (get it!?) Let us know in the comments below.

Matt is a content producer at Carsguide and Oversteer and one half of the ‘Richard and Pritchard’ science duo (he also tells people he’s an actor). A graduate of the University of Wollongong, Matt studied creative writing and advertising. At least he would have, if he didn't spend most of his time getting distracted by trashy TV. Luckily, he’s been able to find a use for this (previously useless) knowledge, compensating for his admittedly limited automotive knowledge by focusing on weird TV shows, car paint jewellery and ghost cars.
