Leapmotor D19

The Leapmotor D19 debuted in late 2025 as the flagship of the Chinese brand's growing lineup. This upper-large SUV measures over 5.2 metres in length and sits on a 3.1-metre wheelbase. It arrived as the first model in the new D-series family designed to sit above the smaller C10 and B10 models already familiar to Australian buyers.

The 2026 Leapmotor D19 launched with two distinct powertrain options. The battery-electric version features a 1000V architecture for ultra-fast charging. The extended-range electric vehicle uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine as a generator to support a large 80.3kWh battery. Early in its development phase, the model was often referred to by the internal name Leapmotor D16 before its official branding was confirmed for the global market.
