The Infiniti G37 launched in 2007 as a premium sports sedan, coupe and convertible, replacing the G35. Built on Nissan’s FM platform, it shared DNA with the Nissan 370Z. Power came from a 3.7-litre V6 paired with a six-speed manual or seven-speed auto. Rear-wheel drive was standard, with all-wheel drive offered in some markets.
While Infiniti didn’t sell the G37 in Australia, it gained a following in North America and parts of Asia. It was known for its balance of comfort, performance and reliability. In some countries, it was rebadged as the Nissan Skyline V36, keeping the famous Skyline name alive. The coupe stood out for its clean lines and solid handling.
The G37 was phased out by 2015, replaced by the Infiniti Q50 sedan and Q60 coupe. Its engine and chassis lived on in newer models. The G37 remains a popular used buy thanks to strong mechanicals and understated styling.
The line-up currently starts at $13,860 for the G37 Gt and ranges through to $20,020 for the range-topping G37 S Premium Monaco Red.
