The Chery Tiggo 4 is a small SUV that first launched in 2017 as part of the Chinese brand’s global push to expand its crossover lineup. Known in some markets as the Tiggo 5x, it was designed to offer practical city-friendly proportions, modern styling and value-packed features at a budget-friendly price. Its arrival marked Chery’s renewed focus on international quality and design standards.
In Australia, the Tiggo 4 Pro entered the market in 2024, supplementing Chery’s comeback after a decade-long absence. It offered sharp pricing, a turbocharged petrol engine and a tech-laden interior, positioning it as a rival to mainstream models like the MG ZS and Haval Jolion. Built on Chery’s T1X platform, it also promised solid space and comfort for its size.
While Chery still battles brand perception challenges locally, the Tiggo 4 has steadily grown its profile among value-conscious buyers. Its bold design and generous warranty continue to attract attention in Australia’s fiercely competitive small SUV segment.
The line-up currently starts at $21,990 for the Tiggo 4 PRO Urban and ranges through to $24,990 for the range-topping Tiggo 4 PRO Ultimate.
The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is available in five colours - red, white, grey, silver and black.
The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is available in two trim lines - Urban and Ultimate.
The entry-level model comes equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, a synthetic leather-trimmed steering wheel, dual 10.2-inch screen display (one for the instrument panel and one for the multimedia), digital radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (wired & wireless), ‘Hello Chery’ voice command and all LED exterior lights.
Stepping up to the Ultimate adds 18-inch alloys, heated front seats, a six-speaker sound system, 360-degree surround view parking camera, a power sunroof and power-folding exterior mirrors.
The cabin design of the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is very nice for an SUV at this price point in terms of the presentation and technology. The dual 10.2-inch screens look more premium than the car's price suggests, as does the lower digital screen for the climate control settings as well as the soft-touch finishes and gloss black trim.
The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is powered a 108kW/210Nm 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) driving the front wheels.

Chery doesn't publish an official acceleration of top speed claim for the Tiggo 4 Pro. However, with its respectable 108kW/210Nm engine it performs well for a compact SUV, so we'd estimate it will run 0-100km/h in 10 seconds or less. Top speed is around 180km/h.
The Chery Tiggo 4 Pro has a claimed fuel economy figure of 7.3L/100km and a 51-litre fuel tank, which means it has a theoretical driving range of nearly 700km.
