Genesis has confirmed a price increase for its luxury large sedan, the G80, to accompany a specification upgrade and model range streamline for the 2023 model year.
The 2023 Genesis G80 now comes in two main grades for its petrol variants, while an electric variant is now included in the line-up after launching in late 2022 but remains unchanged by this update.
The combustion engine G80 now starts at $85,191 before on-road costs for the turbo 2.5-litre inline four-cylinder engine ‘2.5T’ variant, gaining a new brake pack and redesigned multimedia controls.
The ‘3.5T Luxury’ variant goes further upmarket from the 2.5T and cops a hefty $15,009 increase, now starting from $101,191.
Over and above the entry grade, it gains an all-wheel-drive drivetrain, with a turbo V6 engine putting 279kW/530Nm to all four wheels. It features rear-wheel steering, launch control, and a sport driving mode.
It also features ‘Active Noise Control’ to dampen road and wind noise in the cabin.
The electric G80 ‘Electrified’ is unchanged since its recent launch at $145,000.
