Porsche has updated standard specification for its 718 series Cayman coupe and Boxster drop-top twins, while keeping pricing across each of its three variants static.

Kicking off at $114,900 before on-roads and $117,700 for the base Cayman and Boxster respectively, the entry-level grades now gain a sports exhaust system, reversing camera and 19-inch wheels – the latter replacing 18-inch hoops.

Although the tailpipe design remains unchanged with a central trapezoid outlet in base grades, the sports exhaust adds a new flap that can be activated with a push of a button or at 3500rpm, opening the system up for a more sonorous note.

Meanwhile, a reversing camera is fitted as standard across all levels of both models, including the $145,100 Cayman S and $147,900 Boxster S, with GTS grades adding $27,600 to the pricetag.

S variants are also now fitted with 20-inch wheels, up from 19 inches, shod in 235/35 front and 265/35 rear tyres, while the middle-tier grade also gains the aforementioned sports exhaust that is finished with dual-tip outlets.

Turbocharged four-cylinder petrol powertrains remain unchanged however, with the base 2.0-litre grades propelled by a 220kW/380Nm engine, the 2.5-litre S variants dialling it up to 257kW/420Nm and the top-spec GTS outputting 269kW/430Nm from a 2.5-litre mill.
