At long last Ford has confirmed pricing and specifications for its Ranger Super Duty.
The Super Duty slots into the Ranger line-up above the regular variants, priced slightly above the new plug-in hybrids, but below the performance-oriented Raptor. They are only available in cab-chassis form for now, although they maintain all three cab configurations.
Pricing before on-roads is set at $82,990 for the Single Cab-Chassis, $86,490 for the Super Cab-Chassis, or $89,990 for the Double Cab-Chassis. Customer deliveries are expected in early 2026.
Super Duty variants are set apart through significant engineering upgrades which see its gross vehicle mass (GVM) rated at 4500kg, a 4500kg braked towing capacity, and a 8000kg gross combination mass (GCM).
Ford claims to have made so many changes to the Ranger's ladder-frame chassis for the Super Duty, that it's āessentially all-new.ā
Payloads come in at 1982kg for the Single Cab-Chassis, 1896kg for the Super Cab-Chassis, or 1825kg for the Double Cab-Chassis. Gross axle weight ratings are set at 1900kg for the front, or 2800kg for the rear.
All Super Duty variants ship with the brandās 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine, which receives a āunique calibrationā designed to meet both European emissions regulations and the heavier-duty applications befitting the new uteās name.
As such it features an upgraded cooling system said to be 25 per cent more efficient than the existing unit. It produces 154kW/600Nm, a reduction in power compared to the standard 184kW tune, but maintaining the full amount of torque.
Changes (if there are any) to the 10-speed automatic and 4x4 system are yet to be detailed.
In terms of off-road abilities, all variants have an 850mm (+50mm) wading depth and 1710mm track (widened from the standard Rangerās 1650mm), with a ground clearance of 299mm for the Single Cab, 297mm for the Super Cab, and 295mm for the Dual Cab (all higher than the standard dual cabās 234mm ground clearance). Ford will announce further details like approach and departure angles at a later date.
Finishing the Super Duty Cab-Chassis variants are a range of factory tray options, in either galvanized steel, body colour, or matte black.
See table below for pricing:
Ā | Single Cab-Chassis | Super Cab-Chassis | Dual Cab-Chassis |
Steel Tray | $7121 | $6296 | $5966 |
Body colour tray | $8331 - $8826 | $7561-8056 | $7176 - $7671 |

The Super Duty is available in five colour choices ā Tan, White, Black, Grey, or Silver. An additional green colour will become available in 2026 alongside the launch of a dual-cab pickup and XLT version.
Ford also says to expect a range of factory accessories to be announced at a later date.
The brand is doubling down on its hero Ranger ute with an unprecedented number of variations.

This is despite the ute segment seemingly beginning a trend of decline, local emissions regulations clamping down in the second half of this decade, and competition from new players in the segment increasing rapidly.
While other automakers have a range of vehicles to fall back on, Ford is increasingly becoming a one-vehicle automaker, with its passenger range of Puma and Escape SUVs long gone and the two Mustangs, both the traditional coupe and Mach-e electric SUV, selling in relatively modest volumes.Ā
Only the Ranger-based Everest SUV and range of Transit vans from the Blue Oval have posted year-on-year gains in 2025. The brand is likely hoping for some incremental gains later this year from fleets for its Ranger plug-in hybrid as a more proven option than the new BYD Shark 6 or GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV.
