2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk pricing and specs detailed: Australia's most powerful SUV gets updated for MY20

The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has received a MY20 update.

Jeep Australia has unleashed a MY20 update for Australia’s most powerful SUV, the 522kW Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

While the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is now $5050 dearer, at $139,950 plus on-road costs, buyers are compensated for the extra spend with a longer list of standard equipment.

In fact, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is now fitted with extended Signature Laguna leather upholstery, which was previously a $9950 option. Colour options include black, and black/Ski Grey.

And it’s a similar story with the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk’s black 20-inch forged alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero 3 Season tyres, which are no longer a $3250 option and instead included.

The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has also received the latest version of Jeep’s Uconnect multimedia system, which powers an 8.4-inch touchscreen that is flush with the subtlety redesigned centre stack.

All in all, Jeep Australia claims more than $13,000 worth of value has been added to the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

Standard equipment otherwise includes five Selec-Track drive modes (Auto, Sport, Track, Snow and Tow), adaptive sports suspension, a rear limited-slip differential, a body kit, yellow Brembo brake callipers, quad exhaust tailpipes, ‘Supercharged’ scuff plates, a 7.0-inch multifunction display and carbon-fibre trim.

Advanced driver-assist systems extend to autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, among others.

Ten paintwork options are available, with Bright White free, while Ivory White, Diamond Black, Granite Crystal, Sting Grey, Billet Silver, Slate Blue, Redline, Green Metallic and Velvet Red cost $895 extra.

As before, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is motivated by a 6.2-litre supercharged Hemi V8 petrol engine that punches out a colossal 522kW of power and 868Nm of torque.

Mated to an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission (with paddle-shifters) and a four-wheel-drive system, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk sprints from a standstill to 100km/h in a scant 3.7 seconds with launch control engaged.

A five-year/50,000km capped-price servicing plan is available for the MY20 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, costing $799 per visit.

Jeep Australia director of product Guillaume Drelon said: “Australia is FCA’s second largest market for V8s outside of North America, and it is important for us to be able to support Australians with one of the most powerful and fastest SUVs ever.

“We’re excited to provide even more customer value to what is already the best-value, track-ready SUV in the market.”
