I have a problem with my 2003 Mazda Tribute.
When you are driving along the speedo and tacho go right to the max and then to zero, then back to normal. There’s also a problem when it gets to around a quarter of tank it starts to jerk and have no power, but when you pull over and turn car off then back on it goes back to normal. I went to a mechanic and he said the fuel problem sound like the fuel filter needs changing.
Does anyone have any help for me?

20 Apr 2018The problem with the gauges needs to be investigated by an auto electrician. With the fuel it appears there is a problem with the pick-up in the tank under cornering when the fuel is being pushed to one side. It could be the pump or the filter inside the tank.
