After buying a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van with the Sprintshift gearbox I noticed it would not go into auto all the time. A Mercedes- Benz mechanic said that the ABS pump was broken and the injectors were on way out. The dealer said he would fix the ABS pump and would fit reconditioned injectors. Should I get some sort of undertaking that they are ok?
The Sprintshift gearbox is an automated shift manual unit, so I would have the ECU controlling the gearbox checked to find out why it's going into auto mode all the time. I would also seek some form of guarantee from the dealer covering the injectors, and perhaps find out where they're coming from.
