My 2006 Toyota LandCruiser Prado has been checked for faulty fuel injector seals three times since new because of reports about this matter. I finally gave up and had them changed at my own expense last year. Now Toyota has sent me a notice asking to have them replaced. I rang them about having some compensation, but they referred me to the dealer, who said no deal. I can have my new seals replaced or do nothing, at what cost to Toyota?
If they’ve been changed I see no need to do it again. It’s unfortunate that you have replaced them before Toyota contacted you, but it’s done and I don't think you’ve got any comeback on the company now.
