Petrol problem

I have noticed something amiss with Shell unleaded petrol. I own a stock standard, well-maintained Commodore VL Turbo and when I use Shell unleaded the engine has a slight pinging problem under full load and takes a couple of attempts to start when the engine is stone cold. When I switch to BP or Mobil unleaded, these problems disappear.

I've put your concerns to Shell's technical people and requested an answer. Hope to be able to report back to you soon.
