Neo steering

Twice now in tight parking situations the power steering has failed on my 2008 Mazda Neo. A warning light comes on and the steering goes back to the old dark ages of swinging on the steering wheel. The last time we were in a very tight high-rise car park and had to wait for about half an hour for it to cool down. Have you heard of any other reported problems of this nature?
