I have a 2017 Mercedes E300 with 50,000 km on the clock. The car is kept in pristine condition. I have premature excessive wear and tear on the driver’s seat right hand side. The left hand side equivalent on the seat has no wear and tear at all. The right side is wearing out because this is the side I enter and exit the car. Despite the car being in pristine condition and the equivalent left side of the seat being faultless Mercedes refuse to cover this under warranty. Speaking to many service advisors and searching through Mercedes Benz forums tells me this not an uncommon problem with these cars. The cost of the repair is over 10k. Is there a cheaper option for replacement?

24 May 2019A trimmer would probably repair it cheaper than Mercedes; the cheapest option would be to fit some seat covers.
