    What is the best medium sized car on the market?

    Within the next year I would like to buy a medium-sized car (Mitsubishi Lancer, Holden Astra or similar). It has to be $10,000 or less, be no older than 1998, have five doors and automatic transmission. Could you please recommend some models that you think are worth buying.

    Your need for a 1998 or later model for $10,000 makes things difficult. I would recommend you try a Nissan Pulsar N15 which was introduced in 1995 -- it's well built, reliable and has good resale value.
