Mazda servicing

I'm very happy with my new 2011 Mazda 3 Neo except for the requirement for six-monthly services to keep my warranty. My wife drives a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer and Mitsubishi specifies 12-month services, as do most cars today. Making things worse is that I'm an ultra low-mileage driver, around 4000 km annually. My dealer says that's Mazda's conditions, which I'm fully aware of, but not happy with. What do you think?

Mazda's service interval is every 6-months/10,000 km and while that might be more frequent than most other makes, servicing is what keeps our cars in tip-top shape and I wouldn't recommend you vary your service routine away from the Mazda recommendation. Doing that while the warranty is still in effect could become an issue if and when you had a warranty claim.
