About three years ago Holden replaced the transmission in my 2010 Holden Cruze CD 1.8 auto for free, however it is now playing up again. It looks unlikely that Holden will replace it this time, as there are two years of service history that I've been unable to locate. I intend on going to the small claims court here in New Zealand with the matter, as from the information on the internet, this transmission isn't designed to last very long, which I believe is in breach of our consumer rights. Do you have any advice?
Your plan to go to court over the matter is the correct course of action. The auto transmission in your model has been very troublesome and many owners have had problems with them. The only way to fix it is to replace the transmission, which was done once before on your car, and you will potentially have to replace again some time in the future.
