Like Scott Lonard, we also have a 2008 Hyundai i30 that blows headlight globes? We have replaced about 8-10 globes, and in fact at the last service at the end of November the car needed two more replacement bulbs, one to the headlight and one to the park light. We also have a problem with the car locks, sometimes the car simply locks a door, or after activating the key to unlock the doors all will be unlocked except one. These problems make us wonder if there is a fault with the electrics, but our dealer has told us that the electrics are fine and there is not a problem with the car. We too were told to just continue to replace the bulbs, and to not drive with the headlights on so much as they wouldn't wear out faster!
Blowing that many globes would seem to suggest there is a problem with the electrics, and it would seem that there is a problem with the door locks. The latter suggests an issue with the electronics. Get it checked out.
