Ford frustration

THOUGH I am a Ford man, I am disappointed with the current Falcon for several reasons. First, being 196cm tall, I find the roofline too low. It impedes my forward vision, especially at traffic lights, where I need to stoop to see them. Second, though my E-gas engine is fine, a similar car in our fleet is a nightmare. It has constant problems with backfiring and rough running and the tank can't be filled on warm days. Both cars also use too much fuel. The local Ford mechanic says the engine does not run correctly on gas. Do you know if the new model will address these issues?

UNTIL we see the new Falcon it's hard to say if your complaints will be addressed. Fords have always tended to have a high seating position, which means tall drivers can have problems. As for the E-gas engine, my experience is it's inconsistent. I have had road-test cars that drove and performed well and others that had all of the problems you describe. I hope Ford will adopt the more modern gas-injection technology and dump the old system it has used until now.
